IRSE ASPECT 2006 Conference in London, England.
The topic of the speech given by Dr. Markus Montigel was the semi-automatic train traffic control in the new Swiss Lötschberg base tunnel.
This year's ASPECT conference Automation, Signalling, Performance, Equipment, Control and Telecommunications) included the presentation of 23 papers from 13 different countries. The paper may be downloaded here.
The Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (IRSE) has organised the ASPECT series of conferences for a number of years and they have proved invaluable to the Signalling and Telecommunications profession. This is the only conference organised by the professional body representing the profession (IRSE) and, as such, it is the conference for engineers, managers and all others with an interest in Signalling and Telecommunications.

Am 18. März 2009 fand im Kongresshaus Zürich diese Software-Test Konferenz statt. Die systransis hielt einem Vortrag über effizienten Bahnverkehr im Lötschberg Basistunnel.

Die BLS Alptransit AG hat für die ausgezeichnete architektonische Gestaltung der sichtbaren Teile des Lötschberg Basistunnels einen Brunel Award gewonnen.
