Contract signed
Today systransis Ltd signed the outline agreement to specify and implement the tunnel automation software for the Gotthard tunnel together with Siemens AG.
Although, we are still implementing additional features for our first main project “Automation System Lötschberg”, we are currently taking up our next big project: Automation software for the longest tunnel in the world.
As a subcontractor of Siemens AG we will realise the automation for the Gotthard Base Tunnel. We are very pleased to take up this project, which we got in large part due to good experiences with the Lötschberg tunnel.
The Gotthard project will be our focus for the next few years. We are very pleased to yet again contribute significantly to a centenary project. The first road over this pass was built only in 1818 and the first railway tunnel through it was finished only in 1882. In the future tunnel, trains will run in complete darkness for about a quarter of an hour at speeds of up to 250km/h.
