Firm's outing onto the top of Rheinwaldhorn
Like last year, it is a tradition in our company to spend our annual company outing in some of the most beautiful parts of Switzerland.
This year we visited the south-east part of the new Gotthard Base Tunnel to get to know this region first hand. We first took the train over the old Gotthard route with it's helical tunnels until Biasca (the GBT boundary station). From there we went up to 2393 metres by bus and foot and spent the night in an Alpine hut. The next morning we headed for the top of the Rheinwaldhorn by full moon and bright sunshine over ice and boulder. After the easy descent over the glacier we spent the afternoon and the next night in the hut to have a full day for the trip back. It led us along charming landscapes and back over the Gotthard until Brunnen where we enjoyed a wonderful diner in the hotel Waldstätterhof by the lake.
